Beyond the Bar has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no advertising. We do not sell or share data about readers.

Analytics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare says it "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics", and that it does not fingerprint visitors.

We also measure how pages are read with PostHog in its cookieless mode. PostHog says this mode "never stores PostHog data in cookies or local/session storage" and counts visitors with a hash calculated on its servers. We do not identify visitors or record sessions.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site. Its handling is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
