Corrections policy

Every factual claim on Beyond the Bar links to its source. When we get something wrong, we fix the page and say so at the bottom of it, with the date and what changed. We do not quietly rewrite facts.

What we correct

• Facts, numbers, names and dates that do not match their source.
• Claims that were accurate when published but have since changed. We update them and record the change.
• Data pages, when the source dataset changes. Each data page shows the date it was last refreshed.
